Why?
People bully for all reasons. One of the main reasons, though, is that children bully others because they see them being different. Race is a big factor when it comes to being bullied. Race refers to physical qualities such as skin color. Students often bully those who are in a different racial group than themselves, but it can also occur between two of the same. Students who are the less minority within a school setting are most likely to be the victims. The differences between how someone dresses, the language, social rules and religion may also all contribute to why a bully has a reason to bully someone. Those who experience racist bullying at school can have their education greatly disrupted. Just like any other "normal" case of bullying, they will be unable to concentrate because of feelings of anger or sadness, self-esteem lowers, and they may not be able to fulfill their potential because of all the negativity.
Girls tend to bully others using the indirect method. They do not bully a target directly, but instead, share hurtful information about the target to other girls and boys. They use a lot of methods of cyberbullying as well to harass the target. This type of bullying is labeled as “relational” because they attack the relationship and friendship.
Girls are not only indirectly bullied, but some are also sexually bullied. This can occur at school, online, or within the community and can be done so with touching inappropriately or through sexual messages. Few boys report being targets through this way. For a girl, these types of bullying can be very time consuming and are sometimes difficult to resolve. Such methods of bullying can ruin a girl’s enthusiasm for school, self-esteem, and hope for the future.
Girls for more emotionally and psychological ways.
Boys are more physically aggressive at any age. They are also more accepting of this concept when it comes to other people; a boy can like a girl who is a bully and will be friends with other boys who are bullies, whereas a girl will only like a boy that bullies and highly dislike another girl that bullies.
Tend to see most problems of bullying starting around 3rd grade.
Anyone can be a bully.
